This made my day.......

The very sweet & wonderful Jo & Rosy from 3 Angels Scrapping have used my absolute favourite L/O as the featured L/O for their ad this month in the Scrapbooking Memories magazine Vol 10 No 4.

It was a lovely & moving surprise to read about in the forum this morning.

For those of you who may not know the photo in the L/O was taken of our girls with Dakota, our very much loved Siberian Husky, just a day before he passed away form cancer earlier this year.

Looking at that L/O still brings tears to my eyes as I do still really struggle with his loss. He was such a big & special part of our family & is so sadly missed.

After I got Lily off to school & went to a meeting at the Beachside Centre, where I do some volunteer work, I rushed over to the newsagents to get hold of a copy for myself. Lily is going to be so thrilled when I show her this afternoon.

Thank you so much Jo & Rosy xx

BTW if you're looking for a great place to shop for your scrapping needs with a fabulous & diverse range of stock & if you're anything like me who thinks that service is everything, go & check them out. Stop by the forum & gallery too, it's an awesome, friendly site.

OK, now onto a bit of a catch up, it's been a while with school holidays & all.

Slowly getting back into the school routine, earlier to bed at night for the girls & of course much earlier mornings, I really did enjoy the sleep ins over the last couple of weeks with mornings being so cold at the moment. Craig & I so opposite when comes to the weather, he hates being too hot in summer, me I can't stand the cold!

Lily's off to see Possum Magic at the Laycock Street Theatre today, not bad going an excursion on Day 2 of the new school term & Day 3 is a mufti day!!!

We had a reasonably quiet school holidays, stayed pretty local to the Central Coast for the most part, had a few play dates & catch ups with friends form school at Patonga, Pearl Beach & the pools.

These photos were taken during a bush walk at Pearl Beach, it was just gorgeous & all the kids had so much fun!

On Thursday of the 2nd week (Super Thursday as it was known) Lily, Mackenzie & I went into the City by train & joined thousands upon thousands of other pilgrims to see the Pope as he was driven through the streets of Sydney. As reported in the media, he drove by far too quickly for me to get any photos but he was facing in our direction & waving as he went past so I really am grateful for what possibly could be a once in a lifetime experience.

I have to say I really was apprehensive about being part of such a huge crowd with 2 small children, but as Lily really had her heart set on going, I didn't want to rob her of a chance at seeing Pope Benedict XVI. I'm sure she will remember the day for a long time to come. The atmosphere was great, very similar to the buzz that was around the City during the 2000 Olympics.

Craig & I took the girls to go & see Disney on Ice "Amazing Adventures" at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre & had a great day, it was lots of fun as always!

I also took the girls for a drive to see their Opa & then to Anna's for lots of attention & haircuts. On the way home we picked up Craig from work which was lovely too, something we can only do in the school holidays as due to petrol being as expensive as it is & of course the distance he generally commutes to work by train & bus most days.
